All fees are payable on either arrival or collection. No animal will be released until payment is made.
We operate a daily charge rate. Customers are charged for the day of arrival and for each day thereafter. We do not charge for the day of departure if collected prior to 11.50am. See opening hours.
For new customers, during our peak periods (see below) we require a deposit for each animal, which is non-refundable.
During our peak periods a booking is only accepted on receipt of your deposit. Payment may be made by Debit/Credit card or cash. We do not accept payment by cheque.
We reserve the right to revise our prices where necessary.
All prices quoted will be at the rate prevailing at time of booking. All prices charged will be the rate prevailing at the time of boarding.
Our peak periods are Easter, summer and Christmas/ New Year.
During these times we are always oversubscribed and therefore unable to offer discounts other than our normal multiple occupancy discounts.
There is a one day surcharge per kennel/cat pen for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
During our peak periods we do not give credits for shortened stays.
Outside of our peak periods we are happy to negotiate discounts for long stay occupancy. Any discounts negotiated are subject to fees being paid in accordance with our normal payment terms.
No dogs can be accepted without proof of current vaccinations.
All dogs must be vaccinated against kennel cough.
Puppies are welcome 2 weeks after their final vaccine.
No discount will be given if you provide your own pets food.
Bedding and toys are provided; there is no need to bring anything from home, unless you wish to.
Dogs that use Sunnymead kennels should be checked for fleas, worms and ear-mites and where possible treated before coming. We reserve the right to treat where necessary, this will incur charge.
Free parking available for pick up and drop off
We are covered by Pet Plan Insurance to cover any vet's fees incurred as a result of an animal's stay at Sunnymead Kennels.
This insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions
Any vet's fees incurred for treatment of pre-existing conditions must be settled by the owner at the time of collection. If the dog/cat is at the vets any outstanding veterinary fees must be settled prior to removal.
The insurance will only cover veterinary treatment for an illness that has occurred at Sunnymead kennels or that first shows clinical signs within a maximum of 48 hours of leaving the kennels.
Receipts for veterinary treatment must be submitted to our insurance company within 21 days of treatment.

All dogs must have a full and up to date vaccination record to be shown on first visit and details of their registered vet. All dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Paravirus, Para Influenza, and Leptospirosis and must have had a booster injection within the previous 12 months.
Canine Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough)
We like all our customers to have had their dog inoculated against canine infectious bronchitis.
We suggest you discuss this matter with your veterinary surgeon as this is caused by complex virus/bacteria only some of which respond to vaccination.
This inoculation must be done at least two weeks prior to arriving at the kennels.
Cats must be fully inoculated against feline leukaemia. Feline infectious enteritis, Feline viral rhinotracheitis (Feline herpes virus) and Feline calcivirus, and must have had a booster injection with the previous twelve months.
In the event of an animal not being collected or boarding fees not being paid, the proprietor reserves the right to attempt to re-home or send to a charitable organization animals not collected within the 14 days of the stated departure date if no communication from the owners or guardian is received and efforts to contact the owner fail.
Everything your cat or dog requires for his/her stay at Sunnymead is provided. We have a plentiful supply of bedding and toys. If you want to bring toys, please do not bring anything precious or anything you would not want to lose. The kennels are cleaned out every day and toys/blankets are easily lost when the bedding is changed.
We do not give cash refunds.
